Day of Competition: What to Bring (And What to Expect!)

The following is a list of essentials to bring, as recommended by Dance Fever Studio staff.

• Dance Shoes (including heel "taps" or protectors for ladies)
• Your costume(s) and any jewelry / accessories
• For ladies: Dramatic makeup
• Hair gel, hair spray, and a comb (ladies: bring extra hair pins or clips) - this is wise to bring even if you did your hair at home
• Safety pins (to fix any unexpected costume issues)
• Bottled water
• Towel
• Layers / warm-up clothes (light jacket, zipper sweatshirt, legwarmers, etc)
• A light snack, in case the competition runs longer than expected

If you have any other questions about ballroom competition and what to expect, don't hesitate to ask your instructor. All of the teachers at Dance Fever in Marblehead regularly attend competitions, either to compete with or support our students - so we're always there for you as you prepare to compete!
